That is a much better choice of truck, Brian. As Kaydeejay mentioned above, you really have to watch the payload numbers on the loaded Diesel 3/4 ton trucks. Commonly, the diesel engine itself is 600 lbs. or more heavier than a large displacement gas engine, and all that extra weight counts against the vehicle's payload. IMHO, the HD diesel engines should only be offered in the one ton trucks, and the 3/4 ton trucks should all be gas powered to maximize their payload capabilities. It would also greatly reduce a lot of confusion at the customer level as to which setup best suits their requirements. The 3500 dually will pull your trailer very comfortably, with a wide safety margin on all the weights.
