I have a 16 Laramie dually CC, 4x4, Dsl, 4:10, 68rfe (same as 17) and love the truck, but it had a nasty rear end vibration that I have since resolved (rear leafs oscillating - improperly calibrated)... Apparently a few others (2016 and 2017 - 'highway vibrations' thread over on the Cummins forum) have had this issue as well, but not all it seems, so just something to look out for...Best to take it on the freeway... My buddy just got the same exact truck but a 2017 (3:73) and his has no rear end vibration problems....For your needs I would definitely opt for the 4:10 which will put you at about 2,000rpm at 70mpg.... 3:74 will put you at around 1,850 at 70.... DEF chemically treats the NOx in the exhaust tract thereby taking a lot of the load off the engine emissions equip and turbo (via computer reprogramming) and lowering EGT's too.... If you plan on ever getting a tuner it will not work with the Aisan tranny, but personally I see no need for a tuner...Otherwise, you'll love the new Ram.... CD players are an optional order item....I put bolt-on torklifts tiedowns on the front ,installs easily and no drilling, and HJ on the rear bumber since TQ's on the rear would interfere with my Curt 2,700lb commercial bolt on hitch, my Eagle Cap is pushing 5,000 wet and loaded...Hope this helps, PM me if you like !!
