Worktomuch, so is the only reason you are trading trucks is to go from a manual to an auto?
Just wondering why you'd be trading a tried and true rig that is almost new - and very much in demand! A 5.9 with only 45,000 miles is almost unheard of - here in Nevada that rig will sell for 30,000 plus I'm thinking. The ranchers around here search long and hard for the combination you've got.
Hi, sorry I missed your question. the Auto was one factor. My wife hates driving the manual and she wants to contribute more to driving on our trips. I have to admit that even though I think the nv5600 is a great transmission and gave us zero problems, I was ready to go to an auto as well. Aside from that the newer truck is much quieter and more comfortable to drive. The added power will be nice when we get our 5th wheel.
All in all it was not an easy decision. I have been kicking this around for a few months. I had the same feeling when I traded in my 94 Cummins Ram for the 2004. That was one sweet truck but I liked the 2004 as well and hopefully this truck too.
