I live in michigan and while i might go down to the smokeys or up north (if i got a different rig) i dont see my self headin out to the big mountains with my trailer.
My 460 tows great, atleast in my opinion. The only time i feel like id like a bit more is once you are merging on the freeway. If youre on the skinny roads it pulls like its not there.
Im just gunshy about trucks. When i bought my trailer new in 2012 i was towing it with a 77 F250 (yes you read that right) with a 400/C6/3.07 rear. It was a nightmare and i dont wanna relive that lol.
So what about long term reliabilty? I can work on a 5.0, the ecoboost i dont know. Ive driven a few 5.0s but i plan in driving some ecoboosts as well.
