- bikendanExplorerthere are other companies that make a 3-bed hybrid with a slideout.
this has become the most popular hybrid floorplan, since Forest River introduced it, a few years ago.
take a look at the best selling hybrid out there, the Roo or Shamrock 233S, the original of this floorplan.
RVW and RVDirect have some of the best prices on this trailer. but RVDirect also has great prices on the Jayco 23F.
other companies have copied this floorplan, including Jayco because it's a top seller. - NittanyLionExplorerYou should look into a Coachmen hybrid 23TQX... We love ours and fits 8-10 people( adults & kids). It has a slide out plus 3 tents...
- chrispitudeExplorerWe will soon be in the market for this three-bed floorplan. Are there any significant advantages of any of these models (Coachmen, Rockwood, Jayco) over the others?
I know the Jayco comes with a 2-year warranty. I seem to recall that you can optionally purchase an extra year of warranty with Rockwoods.
Is the bed/canvas system of any of these superior to the others?
Thanks everyone! - joedekockExplorer

Ditto. We were looking at the Jayco, Roo 223s and teh Coachmen 23TQX. We settled on the Coachmen. A little more money, but in our opinion a little more luxurious and better quality. - Car_GuyExplorerAs an owner of the X23F predecesor the Jayco 232, we have been very happy with our trailer. This is our 3rd Jayco trailer. We have been very satisfied with the Jayco quality, warranty and customer service and consider it second to none. The dinette slide-out does open the floor up a bit, but you do loose some storage space. If you don't want a new trailer, consider looking at the 232.

the 232 hasn't been made since the 2008 model year. and only one of the 3 beds was a queen size. the back and side beds were only double beds, not 3 queen beds like the Roo/Shamrock 233 or 233S 3-bed models have. - Car_GuyExplorer

...Just a consideration... :-) - dadmomhExplorerYou're not all that far from RVW in Lakeview, OH. Strongly suggest you check the ROO 233S online. They don't post prices, but if you see something that looks good, they will email you the price. No games, the price is the price. When we bought our '07 ROO 23SS we saved over $4000 after trip expenses from West TN. Recently moved to a TT, again bought from RVW and saved even more. If you feel strongly about buying locally, at least print out their information and pricing as a bargaining tool. Think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
BTW, we loved our 23SS and had no plans to ever make a change until older-age caught up with us. No problems, good fit and finish. The change we made to a TT is another Rockwood product, so you know we were pleased with their product. Have had a couple of very minor issues and RVW/FR have had speedy response and we're pleased with both.
