The 6.2 gasser vs the 7.3 diesel. The 6.2 gas will leave the 7.3 in the dust, heck it would only be 2-4 mph slower in most situations than a brand new diesel.

Not trying to start a war here but have you hauled with a 7.3 truck or are you comparing how your 6.2 feels empty if empty and not towing? no argument from me.
load it to GVWR and start up a 6% grade.
7.3L
Max torque 525 @ 1600 rpms
max HP 425 @ 2800 rpms
The 6.2 max torque 405 at 4500 rps and max HP at 5500 rpms.
Given those numbers I find it hard to believe the 6.2 will leave the 7.3 in the dust pulling loaded up a grade.
I didn't buy the powerstroke to run around town empty. When that's the case I just take the 94 lightning with a 351 or if I had a 6.2 that would be the choice.
Don't misunderstand I am not bashing the 6.2 or any gas engine just saying a diesel motor at 2750 rpms fully loaded traveling 70 MPH is for more comfortable than a gas motor pushing at 5500 rpms.
The right tool for the right job. If you don't load it down to max weight often then gas is the way to go.
