In my case 2750 rpms at 70 mph. and yes it will and has run that way all day many times while pulling a load. It does not change going up a grade. Never had reason to run my 7.3 at 3400 rpms.
In other words, you're not even using all of the power your 7.3 has to offer. So a 6.2 with 25% less torque would need only 25% more rpm and would never go past 3450 (ignoring altitude losses).
