Is this a new thing? I've seen payload, tire pressure, GVWR and GAWR posted on door stickers but never towing capacity.
I have to agree. I haven't seen this on a door sticker yet. When did the manufacturers start doing this...and which manufacturers. I am an RV salesman and deal with this type of thing on a daily basis. I figure out payload on every tow vehicle I hook anything on to but with towing capacity I usually send them to their vehicle manufacturer service manager as usually the customer has no idea what rear end is in the vehicle and many times what engine they have. I have dealer service managers on speed dial and they are able to bring up data easy based on the serial number. This is especially the case when someone has bought a used truck.
