@Jim_Linda - I agree Jim. It also drives me nuts to see people with drop kick dogs in their laps while driving. However, our Border Collie does her thing in the way back of our SUV and is trained to stay there. When I stop and get out of the vehicle she will occasionally jump to the back seat but as soon as she sees me goes back to where she belongs. Border Collies are sneaky sometimes.
As I mentioned, we've been offered the loan of a vehicle to try for a couple of days. Our thoughts with a crew cab are that with the back seats folded up she can hang out there and hopefully since she will be below the windows and not be trying to organize everything outside not be so active. We're hoping she will just settle down. She's 11 and has to slow down sometime right? If not, then a crate may be in her future.
