I only will use shore power. I dont use anything that is 12v. Is there a easy way to delete the converter box or does it tie into 110?i dont care about resale as i probably will never sale it

Ok,iwasnt 100 % if it only put out 12v or if the 110 did too. But if thats the case ill just flip the breaker like you recommended

What is the model number of the breaker box or load center?Is this a park model? 50 amp service? Have you removed the 12v battery?Sometimes the 12v converter shares a breaker so you may need to clip the wire and cap with a wire nut. Or some converters are plugged into an outlet where you can just unplug it.Really need to know what you have.

Thanks for finding that, westend. Let me know if you locate definitive US equivalent.

The Canadian one mentioned surge breaks do not meet the requirement for trailers over 6,160, so it appears surge brakes (with a non-electrified breakaway) are legal up to that 6,159. Wow.

I dunno' about that. This website says trailer weight of 3,081 lbs to 6,160 requires a break away system. Not many TT's lower than 3000 lbs.

You will also want a to keep a battery installed as it`s needed in the system. otherwise the converter is working overtime trying to run the 12V system!

im guess you mean the igniters for furnace and hwh. The furnace has a manual clicker for the igniter but has climate control on the wall. As for the hwh im not sure.

All campers are required to have a breakaway. But....

Someone mentioned to me that there are still some campers with surge brakes - like on our old boat trailer.

Those have a cable that activates the brake master cylinder and don't require a battery-operated breakaway.

I haven't researched it yet. Just saying....
