Did you replace an old magnetek with a relay? If so I believe there is an extra blue wire to connect in the mix to get power to the battery.
I actually did replace an old Magnetek with a Progressive Dynamic. I followed the direction exactly and it did not mention any blue wire. perhaps I need to look again
