- idaho_camperExplorerI have the VERY same problem in our 2009 AF 811.
We used to have an older set of cookware. Roughed up aluminum stuff. Last year, we were given a full set of Calphalon (sp?), nearly new condition. So we donated the old aluminum set. First trip out with the new stuff, I dang near lost a pot of spaghetti sauce onto the floor about half dozen times. I soooo regret my decision to donate that old set. Definitely wish I had it back.
There's no way I'm roughing up the grate on my camper. I tried hitting the bottom of the pans with various grits of sandpaper but haven't had much success. Calphalon has got to go. Looking for an older set again. - K_MacExplorerMy Weber has a 1" lip around the grate. Works great!

Well, quit hitting the pans and maybe they'll stay be place. - 2oldnslowExplorerI had the same problem with a Coleman campstove. I roughed up the grate with a coarse file and that mostly fixed it.
- sleepyExplorerLast question... are your pans flat on the bottom? If they have a bulge....
I'd contact the manufacturer... they'd probably send you some new grates. - JRJRExplorerIts a 2013 model and it is level. If you slightly bump one of the pans while reaching for the other one it will slide off the stove if you are not quick enough to catch it.
JR - Home_SkilletExplorer IISometimes the porcelain can be too slick. Like when trying to stir a pot, it would slide around.
Through regular use the burner will get roughed up anyway. - sleepyExplorer

You have to rough up the coating on the burner grate.
Why?
It is easy to keep clean the way it is and thats important to me.
Nothing spills or slides when level... and the fridge needs to be level anyway. - Home_SkilletExplorer IIYou have to rough up the coating on the burner grate.
- Buzzcut1Nomad IInope, pans go in the cupboards when we are driving.
