I cook in my minivan! No problem with odors. I am a fresh air fanatic, though, and have the door open in the day and windows at night.
And maybe I am not very sensitive. I like the way cooking makes a house smell, in my S&B or my van. It seems homey to me. My mom, OTOH, is bugged by it since she moved to a smaller house.
I could see not frying stuff that spatters grease, though. The cleanup would be a bear -- possibly literally!
