I just got one of those for my truck to keep an emergency key in case the battery goes dead and I can't use the keypad to get in. Construction seems to be pretty solid.
Some reviews I read said people had problems with the pins and internal slides used to secure the safe housing to the receiver socket were prone to rusting, making it difficult to impossible remove. I used some waterproof plumber's grease I already had knocking about to coat the slides and pins to hopefully repel any water that may cause rust otherwise. I put the key in a small ziplock parts bag to protect it since it is possible for water to get into the tray. I'm probably being overly paranoid but it's better to be safe than sorry.
