I added a 2 gallon tank that I purchased at Home Depot for about $50.00. I took the fittings off of the pressure side of my water pump and went to Home Depot with them in hand. I talked to the guy at HD about the fittings and found out they are somehwat 'special' but are the same thread/size as lawn sprinkler system fittings. I used a couple of steel braided water hoses (the ones that you might see UNDER your sink to tie the tank into the water system.
You CAN put the tank anywhere in the system but I am glad that I put it right beside the pump de to the SIGNIFICANT reduction in noise which I personally blame on 'rattling' water lines. The lines no longer rattle because the accumulator tank provides even pressure.
Well phooey, ain't got the room under there that I thought I had, gonna be interesting to see just what I can shoe-horn in there :h
...probably not going to get that one done before the trip this coming weekend...
On the other hand, I did get the generator re-installation finished up, really liking how it turned out. :)
