Not sure if this qualifies as a mod or not, but since my awning doesn't have much of a pitch to it, water from the a/c unit or any moisture pools on the awning. So I made these props to put between the gas struts and the lower awning arm. There are made simply out of 2x4s notched to change the droop in the awning to stop the pooling.
I saw a post in one of the forums talking about the Carefree adjustable pitch awning arms, the replace the stock ones.
