PennyPA and Keith, I ordered the new rim, but until it comes, I've bent back the rim and reinflated the tire. It's held air so far. But I will let my tire guy make the decision as to the tire when I get the new rim to him. If he says "no go", he'll mount a new tire on the new rim. I'll let the professional make the call.
Strange enough the tire didn't blow, the log caught the rim only. Cheers! :D
