The laptop display has 1366 pixels width. Did your monitor display the width of 1000 correctly? I wouldn't think the resolution would affect the width of the display.???? I tried to center the display but it still wouldn't fit my 1366 screen.
I haven't gotten down to take a close look at the steps. It's stopped raining but still some showers. I'll take a look when it dries out a bit.
