Here's how I handle and store my hitch head. I tend to use the cheap and simple method. The "handle" is a 12" nail bent to fit with an old file handle pounded on it. I simply lock the safety chains to the spring bar chains (stored on J hooks) and slip a pad lock in the coupler hole.
