Yes, removing any containers that might leak and ALL food is a good idea.
Even tin cans can rupture in that kind of heat.
Then.....I hope your wife isn't wanting to travel IN the trailer.
Getting vent covers that are "road safe" and then stopping to open the vents and crack some windows about a half hour before reaching your destination should cool it back down to something reasonable by the time you arrive......without sucking in too much dust and dirt.
That assumes you are on paved roads that last half hour.
