I have not had the ATP as of yet, but Cooper has been the BEST bar none tires I have owned. No blow outs, tread separations etc. can not say that about the french tire maker!

Cooper makes the ATP's just for Discount Tire if people are wondering. Probably just a slight tread design change from the Discoverer series.

I agree, no more french tires for me ,two sets were enough to cure me,

I had Kumho before putting on the Coopers. And, Cooper owned them.
But,mine aren't froggies! Cooper was purchased by Apollo Tyres of India for $2.5 Billion. That leaves GY as the only remaining US mfgr.
  • I have them on my Dodge 4.7 - for the last 45400km they've been great! Much better than the Wranglers that came with the truck. I'd buy them again.
  • I really like the way my French tires ride and drive on my 2500 dodge diesel.

but I have had two sets that develop problems: one set on my last 2500 truck and one set on my Toyota van that developed splits or sidewall cracks.

however I think they have that problem solved. hope so, as I may order another set of them.

  • I have Cooper Discoverer ATP tires. Haven't had any problems. Took a lot less weight to balance them than my BFG's did.
  • One of the best tires I have used. Only real complaint I ever had was the lack of nationwide warranty
  • I have Cooper Discover ( Load range E ) on my truck. It's a decent tire. Handles decently and its a pretty good rain a snow tire. The mileage though is not so good. I'll be lucky to get 35K out of them. My next tire will be Michelin.
