From what I can tell they don't care about how un-green they are either. EV's are neat but personally I don't see the upside. Sure they perform smooth with great acceleration, quiet etc. But there are so many concessions that tip the scale into the "why bother" column. The big push by companies, advocates and our government is they are green. They aren't. It's a lie. If you took the "saving the planet" tagline out of the push, what do they offer to offset these concessions?
on edit - seems they are great for the economy too. Ford just announced that it's cutting 3,000 employees due to the switch to EV's.
