Even when we go on a longer trip (e.g. when we last went to Canada) and have to buy food along the way we tend to buy similarly to when we are at home - real grocery stores, same grade / type of food etc. and many times leftover food bought on the trip is re-integrated back into the house food when we get back. So in our minds we spend no extra in food.
Now we do eat out on occasion, especially if we are out and about and not near to the RV to cook. Typically its Chinese buffet which (a) we do every week anyway and (b) we don't typically cook that type of food while camping. :)
Biggest expense for us is gas and boarding the animals.
Good to see the responses coming in.
