Cost of food while camping ... does it have to be high?

We are principally weekend campers since I have every other Friday off and I try and get to some place closer than say 4 hours away on one of those long weekends per month. For us, the (extra) cost...

The pantry in the camper is normally stocked better than the pantry at home during the summer ;)

We normally bring groceries from at home but there always seems to be a Walmart near by for what I forgot.

Finding my favorite liquor (Gentleman Jack)in some states can be a hassle so I always keep the liquor cabinet stocked from at home.
