My food costs are high when camping, but only because I've got two teenagers.
But seriously, we do eat well on a trip. The cost isn't too bad for great food when I'm cooking at the campsite. I like to cook outside on days the weather isn't too bad. I've got the Camp Chef modular stove, grill, griddle setup and deep fryer that I keep under an EZ Up awning. Pancakes, sausage, and bacon for breakfast; hamburgers, fish, chicken, or steak with fries and corn on the cob or beans for dinner; sandwiches, chips for lunch. Especially when we're camping at the coast (which is most times)we'll go out to one or two local seafood restaurants during the week. That can cost a bit, but hey - it's a vacation.
