"danishes and beans for breakfast" Odd combination! ;)
If one ate lots of Ziploc omlettes, I might think about the plastic/health issue. But, once or twice a summer does not seem like enough to get concerned about.
Part of the fun of camping in new places is to see what is available in their stores. Browse, then create different meals than I normally do at home. Still costs about the same, but there may be different ingredients available.
pasusan, you only got tired of the lobster because you (likely) kept fixing it the same. :B Grill some, put some in white sauces (different varieties over spaghetti), slice and put on steaks, etc. I would love to "have" to come up with new ways to serve cheap lobster for two weeks! All my lobster has been frozen for a while, and it is rarely less-expensive enough for me to splurge.
