Like many others who have posted, I find that I eat somewhat more expensive foods camping than at home, because I'm selecting better meats and cooking better meals. But I do stock the trailer with items from my home pantry, and purchase what will be needed for the trip ahead of time at my local grocery.
Another bigger cost is for fuel. Firewood for cooking is not that cheap at the campground/state park, and new rules won't allow you to bring your own in due to insects. And propane for the trailer costs more than natural gas at home.
I do love having a real refrigerator/freezer while camping, and I use the microwave for another cupboard, as I'm not using a microwave when camping.
