Costco Igloo iceless 28

Just saw one of these at Costco. Plug in cooler for traveling. Anyone seen these. Need to check mine out see if I like it or not, so I can take it back if I do not like. 89 dollars plus tax. Decent size too.

  • I have a power outlet in the back of my Hatch Back, thought it would be the perfect spot. When I take off to fish, no more stopping for ice or depleting my home fridge of ice. I am going to check it out later today.
  • We have one of those and it is excellent. We plug it in the night before travel and load it up with drinks etc. We run it as an auxillary fridge in the trailer all of the time when stopped and it keeps the drinks cold, cold, cold. We also plug it in truck while travelling, sits in back seat and the venting is in the lid so you can still pile stuff around it. We also take it into hotel rooms when not using the trailer. Would not be without it.
  • I think I read on the label that it only cools to 36 degrees below ambient temp. That's fine if it's 60 outside but not so good if it's much warmer.
  • I have a small cooler like that. They work okay if you start with the items already pre-cooled. Don't expect it to cool down a room temperature can of soda, at least not on the current days drive.

I do like the concept, but I never have a good place to set it while traveling so it mostly sits in the garage.
