Costs of used units

Looking at 2 units:

1) 2007 Bayside w/cassette $6500.00

2) 2007 Niagara. $7000.00

Both with a/c and screen rooms. Should we offer less?
  • That's really good to know lasttruck. I think we are leaning towards the Bayside as it has a clear title, unlike the Niagara. I really don't want to have to deal with all that. We have the cash and I want a clear title when we buy. Been there, done that.
  • BTW, The Coleman dies and machinery were purchased by Columbia Northwest and they are now making the Somerset Tent Trailers. Looks like they will have parts available.

    Read this:

    Somerset RV
  • Yes! The Coleman trailers are really nice. We had one for years and wore that baby out with over 700 days of camping. That said, the company is gone and so is the service. Parts will get harder to come by. That doesn't change the product but it does make the product less valuable.
Condition is everything. A seven year old trailer can be in mid-life or near death.
Select a price you would be happy with and place it on the table. "I know it is not what you were looking for but this is what it is worth to me. If you want to give your camper a good home for that amount, please call me."
Negotiate with your head not your heart.
  • I offer less for EVERYTHING, even at retail stores. If I pay an asking price then I am leaving money on the table.
