Dealers have no interest in what happens to a camper on their lot. They get to fix it under warranty if something does happens to it. You on the other hand have a lot invested in your camper. I always use an Adco cover on mine. I wash the camper before I cover it and when I uncover it it is just as clean as before it did. I worry about ice thawing and refreezing and for me it is a small investment for the piece of mind i get from it. I have never had one not last at least 4 winters, you just have to make sure any sharp edges on your camper are padded and that the cover is tied tightly.
