Have been covering mine for 7 winters so far with no damage to the trailer. It's parked on the side of the house where it gets all the wind. I do see where wind limits the life of the covers, you have to be pretty careful to do something on all the sharp edges, I use strips of indoor/outdoor carpet with the soft side towards the trailer. I also put a daisy chain of cargo straps about half way up the sides around the whole trailer after the cover is on to limit billowing. I got 6 years from the 1st cover.
