virtually all the CPAP/BiPAP machines built in the last 10 years run internally off 12V or 24V. when plugged into 120V they either have an external or sometimes internal 120V-12V brick. And again virtually all have an external DC input. Resmed uses 24V but a 12V-24V brick is available from resmed or battery power solutions.
running on 12V will draw less power than 120V due to decreased conversion effiency when running off 120V.
And in many cases your insurance will pay for a 12V adapter for your CPAP.
My advice, go with a 12V brick adapter. and to minimize power drain
a) turn it to airplane mode if it has wifi for data transfer
b) unless absolutely needed turn off the humidifier. still can fill the tray with water and you will still get some humidity.
the humidifier is the biggest power drain and the colder it gets and the higher the water level the more power it draws.
Some CPAP's need a special 12V cord, some use a third pin as a sense, some have reversed polarity. Go to the battery power solutions website, select your unit and you will likely find what you need. then go to amazon to buy. BPS does not sell direct.
