Craigslist Scammers...

Sold my 09 Duramax 3/4 ton crew cab a couple years ago on CL. Well almost did. Guy was from a city a couple hundred miles away he said. Called and agreed on price. Supposedly he worked in the oil patch and couldn't come to my town to try truck, just had to have it. Decided on town to meet at where he supposedly had a bank account. Took my CC piece, two other gals and met him at the bank during daylight hours so we could do cash or at least get bank draft in person. He wanted to give me check outside bank, take title and truck and let me cash check. I mean we were parked in front of the bank for lord's sake and he couldn't go in and get the cash? Hmmm, didn't even want to drive it, then he wanted to haggle on price and used that as excuse to not buy it. Sped off in a big hurry when local patrol car pulled in next to me. Yeah, right, how dumb did he think I was? Long story short, my dealer found out it was for sale and bought it off me for more than I had in it and all ended well. No more CL for me.
