crease in sidewall of TT

I clipped the gate at my storage facility and ended up putting a slight crease in the fiberglass body of my TT. The crease does go through to the Luan but it is very narrow and about 3 inches long. My RV mechanic quoted me $1,000 to patch it. Is this something I could fix myself? If so what are your recommendations. Thanks

Fiberglass resin, body putty, and gelcoat or paint to original color. A 3" tear should be under $200 and done so that it matches almost perfectly. Gelcoat at a marine repair center will be more than fill and resin with paint at an auto body shop.

$200.00 is not a legitimate figure from reputable licensed shop.
Unfortunately $200.00 doesn't begin to cover overhead.
I imagine there is a $500.00 minimum for a body shop, marine or otherwise

I would consider some silicine and a tastefully apointed decal. It's just a trailer after all. Just me.
Never use silicone on an RV. Nothing else will stick to it including a decal...

just go to a car body shop. faster cheaper/

This is the option I would look at assuming there is no underlying damage
