Think I'd use a 17 HMR, last that is what I use for those critters. I like to shoot them and let them leak out elsewhere.

- Cookr21ExplorerThanks Jim. I'm considering Host for my next camper. I do a bit of ice fishing in this wonderful state and do use the water system when not extremely cold. Does help having heated holding tanks but that heat only does so much. I fill the fresh water tank at home then dewinterize all the lines when I get to my location. I'm usually out for 3 to 5 days and enjoy using the indoor plumbing. I just drain the fresh water tank and rewinterize the unit before heading home. Really easy and takes little time. Would be more difficult if the winterizing valves were located between the cab and camper.

Opening season this weekend. Better slap some orange on that critter. You say the front storage has access to one of the winterizing valves. I'm assuming this means the camper must be removed from the vehicle to winterize?
Nobody is hunting my place this weekend, so it’s safe if it stays here. :)
Not really, the valve up front allows you to pull rv antifreeze from a bottle. You could also drain the tank and put some rv antifreeze in the freshwater tank. Of course, you could also use air, so multiple choice.
There’s also a valve to cutoff the hotwater tank.
Like I said, options. - Cookr21ExplorerOpening season this weekend. Better slap some orange on that critter. You say the front storage has access to one of the winterizing valves. I'm assuming this means the camper must be removed from the vehicle to winterize?
