Last summer a friend who was not going to AK had to ship his shotgun home from the boarder. If he had said he was going to AK, then the proper paper work he had would have been OK. Leave the pistol home and take a can of hornet spray instead as you cannot take mase/pepper spray into Canada. Store any shotgun ammo in the basement, have a lockable case for it broken down, and remove all 9mm ammo from your rig.
