I followed the maintenance interval in the owner’s manual and drove my Dodge/Cummins 14 years until the truck fell apart around the engine. I don’t think you can go wrong if you go by the book. Some people have their own formulas. It’s their truck and money. Everyone has their favorite brand of oil, and like religion and politics, best not brought up on this forum.
