9.7 is pretty low, but not knowing the conditions it hard to assume. I have a 21 3500 HO and our toy hauler is 15.5K loaded and 13'6'' tall. We live and travel out west in the 6-8% grades and I average 10 mpg. I end up at 8.5 on some legs and 11 on others.
