Take it easy guys. It’s all too easy to expect a new vehicle, TV , toaster etc to be PERFECT, but if some of you can remember back to when you worked, built things, managed people, flipped burgers, whatever your career was, can you say you were PERFECT?
Yeah , you don’t have to answer that one publicly.......
Now, quit being 70 year old snowflakes that expect instant gratification.
I get that it’s annoying, but seriously, if you can buy a $40-70k new pickup, a $100 water pump is not a big deal. If it’s that disconcerting to you, replace it.
If this was something expensive, difficult to repair or otherwise significant, I could see being more upset over it.
Wife’s car, found out it had a cooling fan assembly recall while I was researching the part number to replace it. My options were spend $180 and go get the part and replace it that afternoon, or spend literally 8 or more hours of my life and the other associated hassles to get it fixed “free.” Car was running again by beer:30.
Lol. Cheers
I get and understand what you are saying. My post was simply let others know that 1. The parts are finally becoming available. 2. My frustration with FCA and being contacted by my service rep rather than FCA first. Maybe I worded myself wrong IDK. I have the means and skills to do the pump myself and have kept a close eye on it. I'm fortunate enough to be very near a reputable dealer who takes pretty good care of its customers and have a good relationship with them. I was good until the sarcastic comment that was unwarranted and uncalled for (Cummins12v98). I always try to be respectful on here and all other forums that I belong to and expect the same in return. If I ask for it I can take it. That wasn't the case here and its not appreciated.
BTW, I got the work completed this morning and was in and out in just over 2hrs total. And apparently, my truck isn't effected by the shift lock issue. If anyone happens to be near or passing through LaGrange GA, give Mike Patton Dodge/RAM a shout if needed. They are good folks. Not perfect mind you, but they sure beat the pants off most dealers I've dealt with.
