I called the dealer last week and confirmed they had pumps, set an appointment for yesterday to change it and took the truck in. They said they would inspect it and see if it needed the new pump. No pumps, but I needed the pump changed and would be put on the list when the next batch of pumps come in. I was not happy. But then I was not happy when Chevrolet told me I could buy new heads for my 6.2, but they would crack also. Not happy when Ford told me 250 miles on a quart of oil is normal. So other than the Recall Du Jour ( 7 now) I like my truck and it's not had any other problem. If I drove it a lot I would have changed the pump myself and moved on.
