I have known about this issue for many months being a member of the TDR. Sure did not loose any sleep over it! Things take time to go through the process to get thousands of pumps made. Bottom line is if the darn thing failed they would be responsible for any damages. Or if it REALLY bothered me I could have just bought a replacement pump and installed it within one hour and then get it replaced later when they had the replacement pumps.
CHIT don't get done overnight! Like I said they could have just waited to let people know there was a problem when the pumps were available but the LAW dictates they let people know of the issue even before the fix is available.
I called the local Dealer today they did not have a pump as they used their last one and expect a delivery of more within a couple days. I scheduled mine for next Wednesday. I will call Tuesday to make sure they have a pump for me with MY NAME ON IT. This way I make one trip to have the issue dealt with.
