Anyone make their own hitch extension for a Torklift Superhitch? Gman

I was thinking of buying a couple hitch extensions and welding them together to fit into the double receptacles on the Superhitch. I don't want to spend $400 on the Supertruss, but I like the Superhitch because it takes the rear tie downs.
I will probably go with a Reese Titan and extension for about $400 total, but if a cheap custom truss could be made for the Superhitch I may go that route.
No way will I pay $900 for a hitch and extension again.
