Customized Trailers

Hey Friends and Football Fans and Family,
Assume that money is no object and/or you make greater than $200K per year and that you are an big college football fan...
We are a group of enterprising graduate students at a major Texas University MBA Program and we are currently researching the custom Recreational Vehicle (RV) Industry. We’re evaluating the relationship between custom RVs and the tailgating at college football events and would greatly appreciate approximately 60 seconds of your time to complete a brief survey.

Folks, perhaps it would best to let this thread die once and for all.

It is nothing more than someone trying to get marketing info in order to create some sort of business "proposal" for a class project.

Please let it drop into the abyss where it belongs...

Sure seems like a huge expenditure for a single purpose vehicle, that I really wouldn't consider an RV, more like a rolling Best Buy display. :B

Went to the Florida-South Carolina game in Gainesville last year and still don't get people with tickets for the game staying at their RV's for the whole game............unless they were too pickled to make the trip to their stadium seats. :h
  • Wait, I make 190K, I'm not rich? I don't qualify? What kind of world is this. I'm just a dumd Cowboy from NM. I still eat beans and rice and steak and salad cuz I can't afford hamburger. I ahve a TT and hate football. Any Questions?

  • aphillips,

I fully agree with several of the posters, that your assumptions are flawed.
A trailer, for that is what you are talking about, that can be pulled by an SUV cannot have the amenities that you describe. Further an income of $200 thou per yr is NOT going to place one in the group who can afford a custom travel trailer or 5th wheel that you describe.
As one said, you need to do some serious ground work to formulate a reasonable questioner.

  • Your hypothetical income figure of $200k does not fit with the assumption. Undoubtedly you think people making that level of income are rich? I hate to disappoint your discriminatory LIV govt. supplied definition of rich viewpoint, but that income want get you much in the custom made RV market. Your statement
"Assume that money is no object and/or you make greater than $200K per year" is poorly conceived for the survey IMO.
  • You need to do a bit more research for your questions. For instance, you would never be able to find or make an RV, meeting your conditions, that would be able to be towed by a SUV. In general, most SUV's do not make good tow vehicles. Hence your question does not make much sense.

In one of your earlier questions, you left out probably the most popular of tailgaiting RV's - the motorhome. Any vehicle that is used for RVing is considered an RV. That includes travel trailers, pop-up trailers, hybrid trailers, class B motorhomes, Class C motorhomes, Class A motorhomes. In other words, some of the terms you used are incorrect and could be confusing which would skew your results.
