Honestly it would be do much eadier with the cybertruck (or any truck) than the car roof rack. Even for a day trip. If (when) we give up the Motorhome I think a small single axle trailer will serve our camping needs. The cybertruck with something like that rack and a small trailer would be soooo much more better suited than pulling it with the wife’s model 3....which....you know...doesn’t have a freakin hitch. :). Or at least not in North America. Sorry. Rant off. :). Besides, the cybertruck has better clearance for the lake roads.
A motorhome was not a consideration for us when we moved from tent camping to trailer.
In fact, my plan was for the smallest trailer but found a medium one capable of being pulled by our SUV although I'm prepared to buy a higher specs truck for it.
Now just after two years, we've upgraded because the wife wants a sofa to lounged inside the trailer. She's a bit sensitive to cold weather.
We want to move around a lot and see the sights within reasonable distance from the campground, so this is the most ideal set up for us.
I will probably stay for a long while with the perfect Cybertruck and 5K lbs trailer set up.
