And don't try to take a nap either. Supercruise expects the driver to maintain focus on the road and intervene if needed. If you crash it is still your fault.
I think both systems use the interior camera to monitor if you are asleep whereas Tesla uses occasional interaction with the steering wheel or controls to make sure you are alive. We got an update last week and I (and a few others) feel the interval is longer now, especially at slower speeds. However there is a software update coming that apparently will be using the internal camera for a more active roll. Some are hoping it will remove the need for keeping your hand on the wheel. Time will tell.
