Tesla Upgrades
This what Tesla owners like about their EVs, mechanic home service and continuing upgrades -- most of the time free via on-air software downloads.
The pothole thing will be welcome. It is an annoyance right now and requires an intervention every time.
It has been a few weeks since our last update so something is coming soon. Apparently the next one will be minor with a feature that sends you a message ten minutes after you leave the car if you left a window open and then gives you the choice to close it or leave it open. Cool. And nice that every Tesla gets these updates wether you spent 35000 on a standard range model 3 or 135,000 on a model x.
Why what's happening? Tesla calls it suspension upgrade while you call it "pothole".
Am also surprised that suspension is a software case for Tesla when to my mind it's all spring, air, rubber blocks, hydraulics...
No. I mean one of the expected upgrades (besides the suspension thingy) is that either autopilot or FSD (it’s not clear) will start to recognize and avoid pot holes. I welcome this as it is a bit annoying to have to kick the car out of autopilot every time one sees a pot whole coming.
I’m sure the suspension improvements will be cool to but a model 3 doesn’t have an air suspension.
Either way. It’s all good.
Understood, lol.
I thought Tesla is already into software driven responsive dynamic suspension. Not impossible with their innovation culture though.
