Day 3

We are staying at the Fort Mill KOA in Charlotte. Rainy weather most of the day. We made a run to camping world and bought a couple of little do-dads as well as a new friction anti-sway bar. The old one (I've had it thirty years) well, the handle broke off as I went to loosen it. I coulda fixed it but I certainly got my money's worth! :) so it was time for a new one.

We went to LOVE VALLEY! It sounded great in the literature! Oh man.... Sixty miles, some dirt roads, literally a one horse, one saloon town. Interesting, but not really. We left and had a nice lunch at a place called Modern Barbeque. Excellent food! Did some local sightseeing and shopping. Stormy night!!! Thunder, lightening pouring rain. Stayed in and watched a chick flick. Wifey won that one. :S

Original plan was to spend another day here but we've had enough. Tomorrow we're heading out to Loray Caverns in Virginia.

Great to read about someone actually using their RV instead of complaining or telling other people what they are doing wrong. Happy May Day.

When you get to Luray Caverns , do try to visit the car museum there, if you have time.
It has a great selection of really old cars, like a 1907 fire engine red Buick, a 1910 Maxwell and a lot more. Very interesting.Alex

I am a real car buff! Love those antique and vintage! It is on our plan. Thank you so much for the tips. Please keep them coming!

If you have a spare day in your schedule now, a side trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway or Shenandoah National Park are well worth the time. Beautiful country!

Definitely!!! We've done the Blue Ridge Parkway many times but we are definitely heading to Shenandoah National Park! Thanks for the tip! It is very much appreciated!
