Daydreaming about electric camper jacks

So we are in the early stages of selecting a new camper. I has always assumed that I would make sure I got electric jacks on the next rig. I used to leave my camper on my old truck year-round, but as my new truck is also my daily driver I suspect there will be a lot more on and off now.

So will elec. jacks make my life easier? How much? Right now I have 2 good rechargeable drills and bits for my titan jacks. Its not a huge hassle, but not super convenient either.

(FWIW - the new camper will likely be a pop-up - Northstar 850sc or similar)

Any thoughts appreciated!

  • Mee tooo .... electric jacks were not on my list but I would not buy another camper without them
  • Electric jacks are great, especially with the wireless remote control. I can load or unload my camper in probably about 15 minutes. I've never times it.
It's a one handed operation. I can walk around the camper and look how far it is off the ground and how level it is while holding the remote. One finger is all it takes to raise or lower a corner. There's a button for all up or all down so when it's time to break camp all 4 jacks come up together while I walk around using my free hand to pick up other things.
  • Vic, you only go around once my friend. I say get the electric jacks and don't look back. Good luck with the new camper
