You have nothing to lose by looking. You are the only one that can determine if the deal is good for you.
Switching from a lease to purchase may work out in the long run. I used this same scenario to my advantage by trading a lease that was running out of mileage and purchased a replacement. The payment was the same. The finance term was 2 years longer than the lease term. I ended up owning the vehicle for several years after it was paid for. I never leased again.
