It's much like buying a car. Do your research at home. Learn about all the differences from the internet. Don't rely on the salesman to educate you. When we go 'shopping', we usually know more than the salesman does.
A good suggestion, if possible, is to ask a seasoned RV'er to go shopping with you. Someone that knows what's really important. Hot water bypass, winterizing procedure, bathroom layout, outside storage space, ground clearance, cabinet construction, floor material, warranty info, etc. All the stuff that you learn the hard way to check first!
